The ECD Cellphone Policy sets out clear guidelines for the responsible use of cellphones by staff at your Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre. It ensures that personal cellphone use is limited to appropriate times such as lunch or tea breaks, prevents distractions during working hours, and protects the safety, supervision, and privacy of children. The policy also ensures that communication with parents takes place through the school’s official contact number and that all staff comply with the Children’s Act 38 of 2005 and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) regarding the safeguarding of children and personal information.
